Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - Off the Record
Off the Record
This is a set of basic missions that you can get from the Mission Control terminal. It has three parts, one for each field skill. In the original game Off the Record had different requirements and field skills behaved a bit different. In the Definitive Edition there are only a handful of locations that require the completion of these missions. However, the rewards are significantly increased over the standard field action rewards that can be found all over Mira.
Archaeological
Requirements - Level 18 and Chapter 5 complete.
Objective 1
If you seek a pure white shell, to the east does it now dwell.
Collect 10 White Forfex Shells from Forfexes in Oblivia. Land Forfexes drop them fairly often with no treasure sensor gear. Can be found near FN Site 317 on the beach. Could also get with reward tickets but easy enough to farm.
Objective 2
A snake of stone amid lucent boles. Slip its gaze, enter its belly whole.
Discover Orochi’s Belly in Noctilum. Head North out of FN Site 220 and drop down to water level. When you find the Sludge Caecus you’re in the right spot.
Objective 3
Where primordial cliffs face the sea, in a cleft you must seek longevity.
Discover Turtle Nest in Primordia. Head West out to FN Site 108 and drop down into the water and at the East end there is a cave.
Final Objective
In fields of green in New LA, ask in the morning to find the way.
Look for Solan in the Early Morning. Can find him near the transport pilot at the West side of Deliverance Park. Is under the Ma-Non ship if looking at the map.
Mechanical
Requirements - Level 34, Chapter 9 complete, Flight Module.
Objective 1
In nest behind rock at a primal lake, quiet lady's ichor thy lust will slake.
Defeat Yelena, the Sequestered that can be found at level 34 South of FN Site 118 in Primordia.
Objective 2
Soar deep into the skies and seek the forgotten land's ultimate peak.
Discover Mount Edge Peak in Oblivia. Head East from FN Site 315 and fly up to the highest peak.
Objective 3
Take this elevated corn to hand, atop the peaks of a delusional land.
Collect 4 Pale Maize. They can be found in Sylvalum around Delusians North Summit. Pack a lunch cause they can be pretty rare collectibles.
Final Objective
In suburban glory in a setting sun, the afflicted tell of what's to come.
Look for Solan in the Evening (17:00-19:00). Can find him near Water Purification Plant in an alley in the Residential District.
Biological
Requirements - Level 51 and Chapter 13-3 complete.
Objective 1
In chalky grove, midst gems of jade, a starving beast awaits the blade.
Defeat Andrea, the Famished Hunter that can be found at level 51 near FN Site 118 in Sylvalum. She runs up and down the edge of the lake with a pack of lower level Caecuses.
Objective 2
In the court of the forest gods, a brood of sentinels here do flock.
Discover Sentinel’s Nest in Noctilum. Head to FN Site 206 in the Divine Roost at the North end of Noctilum. Sentinel’s Nest is to the South East.
Objective 3
Etchings of ancient beasts to find? Seek a stony shore in fired climes.
Six Savage Sketches. They can be found in Cauldros around FN Site 514 and 515. Drop rate seems to be better at 514 but both sites share the same collectible pool is appears.
Final Objective
Where ordnance takes first breath, collect your spoils after sunset.
Look for Solan at Night. Can find him just outside the Outfitters Test Hangar.
