11: Still more Nvidia GPU drama

Welcome back to the podcast, episode 11! Featuring a new name…again! I’ve given up with the clever names. We’re back to basics and The j76 Gaming Podcast w/ Jimmy Wild. It’s simple, to the point, and I like it!

This week there is plenty of drama about the Nvidia 3000 series cards and we’ll talk about it. To be honest though, I’m kinda over it. I’m much more excited to talk about the games I’m playing now, namely No Man’s Sky, and also down memory lane with California Games.

I’ve spent most of the week playing No Man’s Sky and staying up way too late! Hunting down ships and making money. Also played some Genshin Impact. Which if I’m not careful, could be a huge money and time sink.

I’m most excited to talk about California Games though! Growing up I was obsessed with California and California Games was an influential game for me. After hours and hours of footbag I played a lot of hacky sack in real life. Was also wearing a lot of OP shirts lol.

For the main topic, Nvidia is up to it again. They stopped direct sales of cards and punted to Best Buy. And also pushed the release of the 3070 until Oct 29th. Which is conveniently after AMD announces their new GPUs on the 28th. Hmmm. :D

DerBauer updates on the capacitor drama:

On a positive note, AMD had their Zen 3 presentation on Oct 8th. It was glorious! They announced 4 new CPUs and all the performance gains! Plus there was a little sneak peak of the new Radeon GPUs that will debut on Oct 28th.
